Job Summary
Shree Krishna Industries is looking for a skilled and responsible Welder to support fabrication and production activities for industrial equipment, vacuum lifting systems, structural components and related machinery. The candidate should have practical knowledge of welding processes, engineering drawings, fabrication practices, material handling equipment and quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG and other suitable welding operations on mild steel, stainless steel and fabricated components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, dimensions and work instructions before starting welding activities.
- Prepare, align, tack and weld components while maintaining proper joint fit-up, weld penetration and dimensional accuracy.
- Inspect welded assemblies for cracks, porosity, distortion, undercut and other visible welding defects and complete necessary corrections.
- Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment and related fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow production schedules, workplace safety procedures, quality standards and housekeeping practices throughout the fabrication process.
Required Skills
- Practical experience in MIG and TIG welding with good knowledge of industrial fabrication techniques.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, measurements, welding symbols and fabrication tolerances.
- Knowledge of welding electrodes, filler materials, shielding gases and basic welding parameter selection.
- Good understanding of weld quality, visual inspection and defect identification.
- Ability to use measuring and hand tools such as vernier calipers, measuring tapes, grinders and welding gauges.
- Strong focus on safety, accuracy, productivity and teamwork.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication or a related technical trade is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on welding experience in industrial equipment manufacturing or fabrication may also be considered.
- Experience: 2–5 years in industrial welding or fabrication preferred.
- Experience with machinery frames, structural assemblies, lifting equipment or heavy fabrication will be an advantage.
